Once you select the fountain to add to the beauty of your home, you will need to maintain it's life source, the water pump. To do this, take these things into consideration.
• Although turning the lighted features of your pump off is fine, keep the pump running while you are regularly at home (for long periods away from home turn off) as this will keep the pump primed and working well.
• Listen to it. If your pump is running louder than it was, take action. Insure it is fully under water and make sure it is not touching the sides. If it is still making noise, follow your user’s guide for maintenance help.
• Make sure you don’t let the pump run dry. Due to evaporation the water fountain will need to be filled regularly. It is important to fill your fountain with distilled water as to minimize mineral build up on the water feature itself as well as within the pump.
The intent of an indoor water feature is to have it bring aesthetic beauty to your home and promote peace and relaxation. A water feature that is noisy or just not functioning correctly may distract you from why you even wanted one in the first place. Your pump will work amazingly if you keep up the maintenance of it. Take good care of your fountain and it will take good care of you.
