Learn How Jeanne Eliminated Splashing from Her Fountain
Top 4 factors you can control to eliminate Splashing from your indoor fountain
An indoor fountain is intended to enrich life within the rooms that they are located and help reduce stress and promote relaxation, not create
stress. Splashing from the fountain can cause undue stress and can be controlled very easily. Jeanne discovered the top 4 factors that she could
control in order to minimize and even eliminate splashing from her decorative indoor fountain. In order to save you the
time and frustration of discovering these for yourself she has shared them here.
1. Do not over or under fill the fountain, find the happy medium of water within the basin so the water recycles and that sitting water in
the reservoir does not cause undue splashing. The basin should always be no more then half full when the pump is circulating the water.
2. Make sure the fountain is level. Water will find its own level, but if the unit is not perfectly level splashing occurs.
3. If splashing occurs the flow rate of the pump may need to be adjusted to a slower flow rate. Some water pumps have an adjustable flow
rate on the pump. If your model does check the flow rate, if it is splashing it may need to be reduced.
4. Splashing may occur if the river rock, splash guard or other items within the feature are not set correctly or need to be adjusted.
With features that have river rocks in the basin often this can be remedied by rearranging the river rocks.
Once again read the instructions and operations manual that will come with the water feature. Most of the issues you will face regarding
the operation and assembly of your water feature will be addressed in your operation manual.
Special note of consideration: It is always important to never place a table top fountain on a table surface that will be compromised by moisture, causing a water stain. Because
fountains contain water it is very possible that condensation will form on the outside of the basin during humidity changes and this moisture
could damage a table top surface.
